New Music Friday: The Vaughns, Bailey Bryan, Melanie C, Cheat Codes - Feat: Lil XXEL, Nao - Feat: Adekunle Gold

New Jersey indie-rockers, The Vaughns, have announced that they have officially signed to Equal Vision Records. On January 29, 2021, the band will be dropping a three-track EP, "Rom-Coms + Take-Out," via their new label home. The band is premiering a new single and video “Raina” off of the EP, via Brooklyn Vegan. On “Raina,” lead singer, Anna Lies shares, “This is a love song and our most vulnerable release yet. What more can I say?" The video was directed by Steven Marcario and Drew Mullins

Bailey Bryan is kicking off 2021 not with an expected celebratory New Year's bop, but with "Sober," a gorgeously constructed melancholic reflection on a love-hangover that feels all-too-relatable. The track's chillingly profound music video where glitter, plastic champagne glasses, Chineses takeout and silver balloons litter the floor as Bailey pleads to a lover to remember her after the buzz of heir young love wears off.

Melanie C, AKA "Sporty Spice," is back with a new single and video called "Into You." The song was co-written by Melanie C. The video was directed by Graham Cruz and the track was produced by Billen Ted.

Following a steady stream of 2020 releases from the multi-platinum genre blending music trio Cheat Codes, today they have released "No Chill" ft. rising rapper and TikTok sensation Lil XXEL (2.5M followers). Their newest track of similar brilliance, "No Chill" is the fifth single off of "Hellraisers Pt. 1," the first part of the group's upcoming three-part debut album.

Following up from her critically acclaimed re-emergence single of 2020, "Woman," featuring Lianne La Havas, Nao has surprised her fans this New Year with the release of a new track, "Antidote," featuring Nigerian hitmaker Adekunle Gold. To coincide with this release, she's also treating fans to an accompanying visual.
