IKEA U.S. announced the launch of BOTANISK, a new limited-edition collection created in close collaboration with six social entrepreneurs across the world to make it easier to bring greenery into the home as well as a joy of indoor gardening.
BOTANISK features everything needed to turn your home into an urban jungle from handmade hanging pots and baskets to tool storage and textiles. Crafted by artisans in India, Thailand, Jordan and Romania, the products are made from natural tactile materials such as jute, better cotton and banana fiber to look good, feel good and dogood.
- BOTANISK Plant Pot ($29.99): This intricate pot is hand-crafted from upcycled banana bark that would otherwise have gone to waste.
- BOTANISK Plant Pot ($14.99): Crafted by artisans in Thailand, each plant pot has been pinched into shape making a one-of-a-kind product.
- BOTANISK Hanging Planter ($9.99): Create the urban garden of your dreams with this handwoven planter.
- BOTANISK Cushion Cover ($19.99): This zen cushion cover with hand-embroidered designs was created in collaboration with Indian and Syrian seamstresses.
