Amtrak Modifies Train Schedule For California

As the situation with the novel coronavirus continues to evolve on a local and national level, the Los Angeles – San Diego – San Luis Obispo (LOSSAN) Rail Corridor Agency, which oversees the Amtrak® Pacific Surfliner® service, is working closely with Amtrak to respond to changes in demand and public health conditions. Individuals should follow the statewide "stay at home" order and travel only if necessary.

Amtrak Pacific Surfliner service modifications will be effective Monday, March 23, 2020, until further notice. "These adjustments will preserve connections to the communities we serve, while also addressing changes in ridership and guidance from public health experts," said Donna DeMartino, Managing Director of the LOSSAN Agency. "The safety of our passengers and crews is our highest priority."

Effective for Monday, March 23

As we get the equipment in position to implement a temporary schedule reduction, service will be modified during a one-day transition period.
