Deadly Attack On New Zealand Mosques: What We Know

At least 49 people were killed and 20 seriously injured in Christchurch, New Zealand when a shooter opened fire at two mosques. 

Mosque attendees were in the midst of afternoon prayers at Al Noor Mosque on Friday when the shooting occurred. 

According to reports, New Zealand police have charged a 28-year-old man with murder, and have taken two others into custody.

At Al Noor Mosque, a gunman opened fire, killing at least 41 people. The second shooting took place 3 miles away at Linwood Mosque, where 7 people were killed. One victim died on the way to the hospital. 

CNN reported that authorities found an 87-page manifesto filled with anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim ideas.
