50th NAACP Image Awards: And The Winners Are…

Winners in over forty categories for the 50th NAACP Image Awards were announced Saturday evening during a special non-televised awards dinner at The Beverly Hilton hosted by Adrienne Houghton, Loni Love and Tamera Mowry Housley of The Real, and live-streamed via Facebook. 

NAACP Awards 2019 winners

The co-hosts, who doubled as nominees for the evening, took home the award in the Outstanding Talk Series category, for their show The Real, their second win for the show.  Presenters for the star-studded event included ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith; actor Marcus Scribner (Blackish); rapper Sage the Gemini; actor Trevor Jackson (Grownish); chef and author, Carla Hall, and actor Roger Guenveur Smith among others.  The evening wrapped with a special surprise performance by singer/songwriter, Ledisi.

The awards dinner was a prelude to the live broadcast from the Dolby Theatre which airs on TV One, today, Saturday,  March 30, 2019 at 9pm E/8pm C. The live special will hosted by Anthony Anderson. Additionally, prior to the LIVE telecast, TV One will also air the 50th NAACP Image Awards Tribute Special, sponsored by Toyota, immediately preceding the show at 8pm ET/7pm C.
