For years New Yorkers have been doing it… packing a pair of sneakers in their bag which they wore to-and-from their office because, at the end of the day, there is nothing more important than having comfortable shoes.
It was in 1917 that sneakers appeared on the market and began to be mass produced. Today, millions of people, men and women around the world wear them.
Up until now, sneakers were worn primarily with jeans or casual clothing. Very rarely and for good reason, would you have seen a woman wear sneakers with a dress. But all of this has changed since companies such as Skechers have made a conscious effort to create fashionable and comfortable sneakers that you can wear as regular shoes. I recently discovered Skechers D’Lites, a colorful collection of Skechers chunky soled D’Lites inspired by Toei Animation Inc’s popular anime series.
This bold collab is already on the radar of street style eye catchers, Hypebae, Highsnobiety & GQ. Upon their launch in Asia, these statement sneakers are a sleeker take on the chunky shoe trend and fans of “the New It-Shoes of 2018” Skechers D’Lites. As for men, my colleague checked out the D'Lites Style #51883 in black and was extremely pleased. He said they are very comfortable to wear and can be worn with almost anything and that's hard to do when you're talking about sneakers! You can also check out their other D'LITES - DLT-A and more...
Finally, sneakers that are attractive and simply made for walking. I just love them!
