U.S. Military Celebrate Big Bear Oktoberfest For Free!

We have a wonderful weekend getaway for your and it's FREE! Get free tickets to the 48th Annual Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest on September 8-9, 2018.

Opening weekend kicks off with America’s Heroes weekend, a commemorative celebration that honors anyone with an official badge or military I.D., including active military and veterans, law enforcement and firefighters, as well as their immediate family members.

The Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest, rated Southern California’s #1 Oktoberfest, takes place high in the San Bernardino Mountains. American heroes will enjoy a weekend of chicken dancing, singing, log sawing, stein holding and feasting in German tradition. Opening ceremonies pay special tribute to America’s troops by tapping the first keg of the 2018 Oktoberfest season. The Express Band, Southern California’s premier German band is the headlining band. Other opening ceremony festivities include the Bear Valley Marine Color Guard, singing of the National Anthem, and Big Bear’s own Little Bear Dancers.

Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest begins Saturday, September 8 and runs for nine consecutive weekends through Saturday, November 3, 2018. The weekend festivities takes place at The Convention Center of Big Bear Lake located at 42900 Big Bear Blvd. Big Bear Oktoberfest kicks off with American’s Hero weekend on Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9 offering free admission for all past and present military, fire fighters and law enforcement.

The first three weekends (Sept. 8-9 to Sept. 22-23) and the final weekend (Nov. 3) general admission on Saturdays is $15.99 for adults, $11.99 for seniors (62+), and $9 for children 13 and under; Sunday admission prices are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, and children 13 and under FREE.  

The next five weekends (September 29 to Oct. 28) general admission on Saturdays is $22.99 for adults, $15.99 for seniors (62+), and $10 for children 13 and under; Sunday admission prices $10 for adults, $8 for seniors with children 13 and under FREE. Prices are subject to change on certain dates.
