Toys ‘R’ Us Founder Charles Lazarus Dies At Age 94

Charles lazarusIt hasn't been a month of good news for Toys "R" Us Inc. 

Just after announcing plans to liquidate, the founder of the toy superstore franchise, Charles Lazarus passed away. 

According to reports, Lazarus passed away on Thursday in New York City. He was 94 years-old. 

In September 2017, the toy company filed for bankruptcy. With more than 1,600 stores in 38 countries, they will begin closing locations in the U.S. and the U.K. 

Toys"R"Us via Twitter said: There have been many sad moments for Toys"R"Us in recent weeks, and none more heartbreaking than today's news about the passing of our beloved founder, Charles Lazarus. Our thoughts and prayers are with Charles' family and loved ones.
