Vice President Mike Pence said, "... Welcome to the beginning of the end of Obamacare," as he stood on the White House lawn in front of Republican lawmakers on Thursday afternoon.
"We've taken a historic first step to repeal and replace Obamacare and finally give the American people the kind of healthcare they deserve," Pence added.
The House passed Republican healthcare bill 217-213.
President Trump took the podium saying, "... Premiums are going to start to come down, we're going to get this passed through the Senate."
He spoke of the high deductibles that will "come down." "It's obvious that it's [Obamacare] failing," the President added.
Trump spoke with certainty that the bill will pass through the Senate saying, "This is a repeal and a replace of Obamacare, make no mistake about it."
