Recipe: Celebrate National Pancake & Cereal Day With Reese’s Pancakes

peanut butter chocolate cereal pancakes

March 7 doubles as National Pancake Day and National Cereal Day across America. So why enjoy both breakfast favorites separately when you can combine them into one morning treat!

Betty Crocker has several cereal-pancake recipes, but the Reese's Puff edition is our favorite. On its own, a stack of these double chocolate peanut butter pancakes tastes like a giant Reese's cup, and that's without the cereal sprinkled batter and garnish on top!

What You Need:

1 Cup pancake mix

1/4 Cup unsweetened baking cocoa

1 egg

1 1/4 Cups milk

1/2 Cup chopped dark baking chocolate

1 Cup peanut butter

whipped cream

1 Handful Reese's Puffs

What To Do:

In large bowl, stir pancake mix, cocoa, egg and milk with whisk just until blended. Stir in chopped chocolate and crushed Reese's Cups.

Heat griddle or skillet over medium-high heat (375°F). Brush with vegetable oil if necessary (or spray with cooking spray before heating). For each pancake, pour about 1/4 cup batter (or desired amount) onto hot griddle. Cook about 3 minutes or until bubbles form on top. Turn; cook other side until set.

Spread peanut butter and whipped cream over pancakes, and sprinkle Reese's Cups. Add syrup to taste.

Voila! You'll be enjoying both holidays in no time!
