Proof That Critics Don’t Always Make a Difference

Despite “Identity Thief’s” poor reviews, America still paid good money to see the comedy this weekend. The movie, which had a $35 million budget raked in $36.6 million. “Warm Bodies” is doing a fine job for a smaller film — in number two:

1. Identity Thief – Universal – $36.6M

2. Warm Bodies – Lionsgate – $11.5M

3. Side Effects – Open Road – $10.0M

4. Silver Linings Playbook – The Weinstein Company – $6.9M

5. Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters – Paramount – $5.8M
