Myspace has launched Portfolio and Artist Films, two new experiential initiatives, developed to support artists by heightening their visibility and enabling them to build their personal brand while reaching new fans. Following the platform’s recent gains—including a 340 percent growth within the creative community, fueled by artists such as Pharrell Williams, El-P and Killer Mike (aka Run The Jewels),and CHARLI XCX—the initiatives reflect Myspace’s commitment to content creators.
Portfolio is an easy-to-use multimedia tool that enables artists to showcase their work, honor their inspiration, and grow their audience. Over 15,000 people have already activated the Portfolio feature on their profiles. In celebration of the new artist-focused product feature, Myspace is also debuting an artist-centric campaign highlighting a range of creative individuals who call Myspace their home.
