All Films Release 8.3.12

Total Recall:

Total Recall is more of a remix than a reboot. Like today’s dubstep centric music culture, the film does an excellent job rehashing, combining, and mixing various aspects of previous sci-fi genre films and filtering them into one, Frankenstein-like movie creation. With a very similar look and feel as other futuristic sci-fi thrillers such as Blade Runner and I-Robot, the newest Colin Farrell vehicle does not manage to captivate the audience in the same way as the original. Yes, even with a supporting cast that features Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, Brian Cranston, and Harold from Harold and Kumar, the two hour non-stop action flick does little more than inundate the viewer with a barrage of bullets, car chases, and explosions. http://www.welcometorecall.com/

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days

Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon), the kid who made “wimpy” cool, is back in DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: DOG DAYS, an all-new family comedy in the hit movie franchise based on the publishing phenomenon by Jeff Kinney. http://www.diaryofawimpykidmovie.com/

360:

360 is a sexy, dramatic thriller about interconnected romantic life in the 21st century. The film starts in Vienna, but manages to bring together vignettes set in Paris, London, Bratislava, Rio, Denver and Phoenix into a single, mesmerizing narrative. The movie begins with a businessman who is tempted to be unfaithful to his wife, and subsequently sets into motion a series of events that ripple around the globe with dramatic consequences. The film stars Jude Law, Anthony Hopkins, Rachel Weisz and Ben Foster. http://www.magpictures.com/360/

Celeste and Jesse Forever

Celeste (Rashida Jones) and Jesse (Andy Samberg) met in high school, married young and are growing apart.  Now thirty, they decide to get divorced and attempt to stay best friends while pursuing other relationships.  This plan is not as simple as they had imagined. The film is a humorous and honest examination of a broken heart and the long, hard road it takes to heal it. http://sonyclassics.com/celesteandjesseforever/
